Jill L. Cassert joined the firm in July 2018 following eight years of complex litigation practice at both the state and federal court level out of Atlanta, Georgia. Her practice in Georgia focused on pharmaceutical and medical device defect mass torts, and class action litigation including consumer products, products liability, and commercial litigation. She has been part of national Multidistrict Litigation leadership teams and various discovery, science, regulatory, and electronic discovery production/review steering committees. Some of her representative cases include: MDL – 2329 IN RE: Wright Medical Technology, Inc., Conserve Hip Implant Products Liability Litigation; MDL – 2323 IN RE: National Football League Players’ Concussion Injury Litigation; MDL – 1789 IN RE: Fosamax Products Liability Litigation; MDL – 2441 IN RE: Stryker Rejuvenate and ABG II Hip Implant Products Liability Litigation; and MDL – 2197 IN RE: DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc., ASR Hip Implant Products Liability Litigation.
Jill graduated from St. Bonaventure University with an English degree, and went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta. She is admitted to practice law in Georgia and New York state and federal courts, and is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Bar Association of Erie County, State Bar of Georgia, and American Association for Justice.
Jill was named a partner in February 2019, in recognition of her extraordinary contributions to the firm and clients. She defends personal injury and general liability claims, including, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, and municipal liability.
